Frankfurt City Transportation

Frankfurt City TransportationFrankfurt is well-served by public transportation. Check out our guide to start riding.

Walking

Frankfurt is a large, spread out city. However, most sights and museums including the central train station, are near each other along the Main river, making this city a cinch to traverse on foot.

S-Bahn, U-Bahn, Streetcars, Buses and RMV

The RMV system – a combination of S-Bahn (to suburban areas of town), U-Bahn (central city), streetcars and buses – is quite thorough. Prices vary according to time of travel. A one-day ticket is a good investment, especially if you will be making more than 2 trips.
