Oslo City Transportation
Hit the ground running in Oslo by studying up on the transportation options ahead of time. Don't forget that walking is especially easy here.
Walking
Everything tourists want to see is within a mile's walk in Oslo: the castle, the sights, the hip Gronland neighborhood. And, it's all on pretty flat land, too.
T-bane, Tram, Bus, and Ferry
There is a good public transport system in Oslo. Trams run on seven lines, crossing the city center from east to west. Buses and the subway and T-bane run off of eight routes converging on a common track crossing the city center. Numerous ferries cross the Oslofjord to the south of the city center. The Oslofjord connects the city center with the outlying districts and archipelagos.
