Walking around Lake Geneva is a real treat. On the northwest side you have the statue of Rousseau, in the middle of the Lake, you have the famous fountain, Jet d'Eau, on the southeast side you have the Jardin Anglais with the picturesque clock made of flowers. How Swiss!
Way uphill, a fourth of a mile (.4km) south of the lake, is the town's Cathedrale St Pierre. This is where the famous Protestant preacher, John Calvin, practiced what he preached at a podium from 1536 to 1564.
