Docked on the water (it’s a houseboat, folks) just outside the confines of the Red Light District and Plantagebuurt, rooms at the Beagle Houseboat are unique and worth a visit.

The boat can sleep up to four guests. Included in the nightly rate: linens, towels, free Internet and some of the best canal views in town!

There's a swimming pool on deck (cannon ball!) and breakfast is available for an extra fee. In addition, the houseboat has games on offer, a common area and a fully-stocked kitchen.

This houseboat is simply amazing. AJ (the owner) is kind, helpful. There are two computers with free internet, a warm shower, comfy beds, and your own kitchen! The views are amazing. MOST important is that the living space (with couches, blankets, benches, etc) is SO inviting and wonderful. It is a perfect place to relax, expand your mind, get to know your friends, get to know yourself-- you get it. A safe, cool spot in Amsterdam that you can get all to yourself. Great central locationt too! Don't forget to take pictures on the roof.

About the Beagle Houseboat neighborhood

The most touristy section of town, the Old Center is home to the Dam Square, the Royal Palace, and the Niewmarkt. In addition to the photo-op attractions, marijuana-peddling "coffee shops" and endless crowds give the neighborhood an energetic, chaotic vibe.
