Within a ten-minute walk of Venice’s famous Rialto Bridge as well as a few blocks from the Grand Canal, the Sweet Dreams guesthouse offers dorms and private rooms out of a 600-year-old Venetian building. Common spaces and guest rooms are decorated with silk tapestries, chandeliers, Murano glass, mosaics and more.
Dorm rooms are female-only (males must book a private room) and can accommodate between two and eight travelers. Private twin, triple and quads are also available. Breakfast and free Internet access are included in the nightly rate.
There are a few common areas where guests can lounge or enjoy a cocktail or snack. There’s also a billiards table and library on-site. Ask ahead if you’d like cable TV in your room.

About the Sweet Dreams neighborhood
San Marco is the touristy heart of Venice. Main attractions, including the Piazza San Marco and Saint Mark’s Basilica, are located in this neighborhood, and the streets are accordingly crowded. Shops and restaurants fill the streets, though things are calmer on the south side of the neighborhood, near the San Stefano church.
