The Basics: Blue Hostel email this page
The Blue Hostel is so close to Rome’s central Termini train station that the manager will come to meet you and walk you to the property himself. The hostel, more like a cheap-and-chic bed & breakfast, is housed out of a former convent dating to the 17th-century. Bonus: it’s also just a ten-minute walk from the world famous Colosseum.
In all seriousness, though, this highly rated hostel consists of a number of private rooms—all at affordable rates. Each has hardwood floors and original, wood beamed ceilings. They are equipped with a private bathroom, free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV and air conditioning.
Linens and towels are all included in the nightly rate along with housekeeping. The hostel doesn’t have a curfew and the owner is on-call to provide help with tours.
Note: This property is recommended based on location, price and user ratings. EuropeanHostels.com did not charge this property to be listed.

About the Blue Hostel neighborhood
The area south of Termini Station is home to the ornately designed Santa Maria Maggiore church. You’ll also find plenty of cute restaurants and bars along the winding streets. This hood has a cleaner, less sketchy vibe than the area north of the station.
