Haidhausen

Located east of the city center, Haidhausen is a residential area with a giant entertainment complex, the Kultfabrik, thrown in for good measure. The Deutsches Museum and the Museum Villa Stuck are also located in this hood.

North of the Train Station

The area north of Munich’s central station hosts quite a few solid hotel options, but the hood itself does not offer many tourist attractions. Stick to Dachauer Strasse for eating and drinking in the neighborhood.

Schwabing

On the north side of Munich, Schwabing is home to the sprawling Englischer Garten, along with a variety of museums, theaters, and beer gardens.

South of the Train Station

It’s hotel central south of Munich’s train station, with plenty of accommodation options lining the streets. The area directly around the station is also home to sex shops and a slightly sketchy scene, though further south things get quieter and more high-brow.
