Nice place to stay - historic feel, clean floors and bathrooms, polite helpful staff, good breakfast included (2 cereals, fruit, meats and cheeses, breads with good selection of spreads, juice). Free wireless is fast. Location is perfect - so close to Hauptbanhoff and Marienplatz. Immediately adjacent to Wombat and Jeager's and a couple other hostels. Some others looked fancier, but you can feel the history in this one - it's definitely older - pre WWII . I liked it better.

The room was much bigger than expected. The window opened out on to a street with plenty of inspiration for a yound composer to write what he was hearing. A return to this hostel is needed by anyone who stays.

About the Euro Youth Hotel neighborhood

It’s hotel central south of Munich’s train station, with plenty of accommodation options lining the streets. The area directly around the station is also home to sex shops and a slightly sketchy scene, though further south things get quieter and more high-brow.
