If proximity to the city center is your prime consideration when booking a bed, check out the Hostel Prague Týn.

Rooms, splashily decorated in white, pink and blue, sleep one to eight guests, all of which can be booked privately or just as one bed. The furnishings are fairly simple—wood frame beds and personal lockers—but the bright, cartoon-color décor livens the atmosphere significantly. The Hostel Tyn provides free linens, towels and toiletries (notable for a hostel).

The shared bathrooms are fresh and outfitted with modern fixtures.



Hostel Týn has a fully-equipped guest kitchen, an internet room and a large hang-out area with a TV and lots of tables. The reception is open around the clock and provides guests with snacks and drinks as well as a room to store luggage.

Wi-Fi is free and available throughout and breakfast is complimentary as well.

Though breakfast is not served at the hostel, the Tyn shares its courtyard with Beas, a cheap and popular vegetarian restaurant. The Literary Café down the street is another good pick, especially for its huge summer garden.
