I've never stayed in a hostel but I've seen the two horror movies (Hostel 1 and 2). What am I really getting myself into? -

What? You don't know what a hostel is but your on a hostel site? JK
A hostel is usually a cheap place to stay with dormitory-style rooms. They're an awesome way to travel around europe on the cheap. You can save so much money -- paying only like $20 a night for a bed (usually a bunk) in a room with 6-10 other people. They also provide showers and sheets, and most of the time breakfast. Hostels are awesome for meeting other people, too, and finding friends to go out with.
