    Please advise on the most cost effective method of transportation from Rome, Italy to the port of Civitavecchia, Italy to catch our cruise ship. Also, any info on the Costa Concordia cruise ship for the Mediterrean Cruise.

    Personally, I'd recommend looking at local car-share programs. A lot of hostels and cafes have bulletin boards of people going to the same city and are looking to split the cost of driving. Good luck.

    Yeah, I'd say bus (if it's feasible) or book a car with some other travelers.
