I love the Bulldog shops. They have two. One is the Energy shop (more energy drinks etc) and one is the Palace coffee shop. -

Be sure and be honest about what you want. I went to three coffeehouses before I found one that sold 'coffee.' Too shy to inquire about my real desires, by the time I found what I was looking for, after hitting multiple coffeeshops, I was so jacked up on caffeine I couldn't sit down. -

Yeah, and a number of internet cafes also are running their own "coffee" shops now too. Amsterdam does have really good coffee (and I mean the kind with caffeine, folks), so be sure to find places to sample it. -

i went to amsterdam and spent the weekend trying out all the coffee houses. you can just wander around or ask in the hostel. my hostel also had a coffee house, but some of my mates at another hostel couldn't smoke in theirs. be careful with what you buy that you can handle it! -

The grey area! You'll find a very small place, owned by Americans. They have the bomb-diggity and all the right equipment, like Volcanoe Vaporizers. -

Check out the Greenhouse effect. I had a blast there in 2006.
