What's the best way to get over jet lag? It took me about 3 days to feel back to normal after my last trip from the US overseas and I'm heading over in January again but want to take something to help.
I take a bottle of melatonin with me whenever I travel. When you get to Europe, stay up all day -- don't go to sleep! And then, before you go to bed that night, take one or two melatonin. Do this for two or three days and pretty soon you'll be back on track.
Coming back to the States is harder for me, actually. And I agree with PHM, that wine on the plane is a bad idea. It seems great when they offer it to you, but it can dehydrate you and make you feel worse when you arrive.
I'd recommend taking a sleeping pill on the plane so that when you arrive at your destination - it will be as if you are starting your day with the citizens of your host country
