   Can anyone suggest a cool bar in Paris? I'm exciting about hitting the scene, but I don't just want to hear a bunch of stupid American pop music. Suggestions?

   If you're into the cabaret scene, there's a great place in the latin quarter called Les Trois Maillets that gets pretty crazy. The restaurant is upstairs and the cabaret is in the cavernous basement. If you're into drinking a lot of wine and dancing on tables, this spots for you.

   If you're into gay bars, I'd suggest the "Open Cafe" in Marais. The place is super busy and fun--and kinda touristy so if that's not your thing stay away. Beers pretty cheap, too. It's on a cute corner, close to everything.

   You have to go to a cabaret. I love Les Trois Maillets in the Latin Quarter.
